Seventeen, the day I was born. Seventeen, the sum of the first four prime numbers. Seventeen, the number of syllables in a traditional haiku. Seventeen, the least random number. Seventeen, a half-frame of the traditional 35mm format. These photographs are bound by the half-frame camera I use to capture the everydayness of the world—nodes of interconnectivity. Observation, strangeness, tone, texture, light, form, and frame are what draw these images together.
